History
Autodrom Most was inaugurated in 1983 as part of the redevelopment of the Most region, an area undergoing significant industrial transformation following decades of lignite mining. The circuit was conceived as a permanent motorsport facility capable of supporting national racing while encouraging the growth of international competition in what was then Czechoslovakia.
Following political and economic changes in Central Europe during the 1990s, the circuit underwent continuous modernisation to meet evolving FIA and FIM safety standards. Investment in infrastructure, paddock facilities and spectator amenities allowed the venue to attract increasingly prestigious championships.
A major milestone came in 2021 when the circuit joined the World Superbike Championship calendar, bringing international motorcycle racing back to the Czech Republic and significantly raising Autodrom Most’s global profile.

Its relatively compact layout combines heavy braking, repeated changes of direction and short acceleration zones, creating a lap where maintaining rhythm is essential and small mistakes can quickly compromise the following section.
The opening sector immediately presents one of the circuit’s greatest challenges, with hard braking into a tight chicane demanding stability, accuracy and strong traction on exit. Through the middle of the lap, a succession of medium-speed bends and direction changes rewards balanced handling and disciplined positioning, while elevation changes add another dimension to several corner entries. The later sections become more flowing, allowing drivers to build momentum before the circuit tightens again approaching the completion of the lap.
Although outright speed plays an important role, Most is fundamentally a circuit of precision and continuity. Drivers who remain patient under braking, position the car accurately through its interconnected sequences and prioritise clean exits over aggressive entries generally achieve the strongest performances.
