History
The Navarra Circuit opened in 2010 as part of an ambitious regional investment aimed at promoting motorsport, tourism and technological development in northern Spain.
Designed to FIA and FIM international standards, the circuit was conceived from the outset as a flexible venue capable of accommodating both professional competition and commercial activities. Since its inauguration it has welcomed GT championships, touring cars, motorcycle racing, truck racing and numerous manufacturer events.
Ownership and management have evolved over the years, with continued investment ensuring the venue remains an active part of the European racing calendar while expanding its role in testing, training and corporate experiences.
Circuit Design
The Grand Prix circuit measures 4.313 kilometres and features 17 corners, arranged in a clockwise direction.
The layout combines long acceleration zones with a varied mixture of slow hairpins, medium-speed corners and flowing technical sections. Unlike circuits dominated by one characteristic, Navarra presents competitors with a balanced technical challenge that rewards adaptability and consistent vehicle performance.

Circuito de Navarra combines technical low- and medium-speed sections with several faster corners and significant braking zones, placing particular emphasis on precision and traction. The opening part of the lap establishes this rhythm quickly, with successive changes of direction requiring accurate positioning rather than relying on sustained high-speed momentum.
The middle section provides greater variation, alternating tighter corners with faster transitions before the circuit opens towards its principal acceleration zones. Heavy braking creates opportunities for overtaking, while the more technical sequences reward controlled rotation and clean exits, particularly where one corner determines the approach to the next.
Rather than being dominated by a single signature corner, Navarra’s character comes from the frequency with which braking, direction change and acceleration are repeated across the lap. Consistency therefore depends on maintaining rhythm through the technical sections while preserving braking stability and traction throughout a relatively compact circuit.

Circuito de Navarra established northern Spain as a modern venue for international circuit racing after opening in 2010, complementing the country’s longer-established motorsport centres. Its facilities have supported automobile and motorcycle competition alongside testing, track activity and national championships, giving the circuit a broad role within Spanish motorsport.
Internationally, Navarra has hosted categories including the FIA GT1 World Championship, World Superbike Championship and European Le Mans Series, bringing both major motorcycle competition and international GT and endurance racing to Los Arcos. These events gave the relatively young circuit exposure beyond Spain during its first decade of operation.
The acquisition of the circuit by MotorSport Vision in 2022 began a new phase of investment and redevelopment intended to strengthen its position within European motorsport.
