“A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.”

High-performance vehicles need more frequent servicing than regular vehicles. It is important to stick to the maintenance schedule recommended by the manufacturer.

Whether it is a stock or a custom; we increase the frequency and depth of maintenance work for any super or hypercar, to mitigate any risks for you and your investment.

For those who actually drive their cars; we welcome each one on Mondays and bid farewell once we conclude periodic inspections and preventive maintenance services as per the vehicle’s state and agenda.

Safety vs. cost

The number one reason to keep up with your routine car maintenance services is that it will increase your safety while on the road. Big horsepower means big torque, which translates as big torsional load on all the parts along the powertrain.

None of these power plants will fail under load, as long as they are timely checked, maintained, and serviced properly. All manufacturers specify maintenance intervals and a checklist for parts to be checked and replaced based on km.

Two identical cars with the same total distance travelled may have different stages of wear, depending on speed, gear, and surface inclination.

“A good race car holds together just long enough to cross the finish line.”

Unlike the above statement which is valid for race cars, we all expect our vehicles to “hold together” as long as we own them.

Motor vehicles have their battle against all kinds of mechanical wear, ambient weather, and other elements.

As in all machinery, your car or motorcycle needs to be periodically checked against wear, and have preventive and/or corrective actions taken in order not only to prolong its service life, but also to offer increased safety, to keep it performing at its best, and to keep fuel consumption (along with its environmental impact) and depreciation values low, to save you money and time in the longer run.

While your manufacturer has already published a simple list of items to be checked and replaced (if necessary) at a certain distance (km) or time (year) covered; at CSI, our approach to the subject is borrowed from another industry where engines are more powerful and safety is a higher concern: aviation.

“Airplanes are near perfect, all they lack is the ability to forgive”.

Periodic maintenance of performance cars is a field requiring a robust regimen of scheduled or preventive servicing, inspection, testing, repair, and overhaul or modification activities by highly skilled technicians on every vehicle in service.

As in aviation industry where line maintenance covers pre-flight checks, daily check of fluids, scheduled minor repairs and modifications, and troubleshooting, we at CSI, starting from front to back, have all visiting cars have their bodywork, engine bay, underside, and major transmission, suspension parts thoroughly inspected for any signs of wear, damage and leaks.

Unlike any other workshop where technicians go over a list of checkboxes performing so-called “inspections”, we employ NDT methods to ensure the integrity of critical components in your powertrain.

These methods include lab analysis for oil (engine, transmission, differentials), visual inspection/testing (VT), remote visual inspection (RVI) with endoscope, eddy current testing, fluid osmosis and radiographic imaging.

We then perform all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks so that you always drive with confidence.

“Truth in politics is optional — Truth in engineering is mandatory”.

Igor Sikorsky

While safety and performance are the primary goals of supercar maintenance, an effective maintenance program also maximizes the owner’s resale value of the car and prevents losses due to downtime.

Choosing the right workshop assures proper and consistent implementation of your maintenance program, including timely access to hard-to-find parts, and it saves operational expenses through smarter asset allocation.
