It is the spring of 1930. The muffled tapping of wooden pavers’ hammers echoes through the woods above Popůvky, a quiet village ten kilometres outside Brno. Granite cobblestones are settling into the sand. They are building a new race track. It has to be ready by autumn, after all, the “first lady” of Czech motorsport, Eliška Junková, is working for it! And the first Czechoslovak president is supposed to name the circuit, information is circulating among the workers. It was true. Under their hands, a legend was born: Masaryk’s Circuit.

The Brno Circuit is historically one of the oldest circuits, on the place were also held the most motorcycle championships in history after the TT Circuit Assen.

Today the circuit, also referred to as the Brno Circuit, hosts the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the FIA GT1 World Championship, Formula Two and the World Superbike Championship.
