Circuit Ricardo Tormo

Since its inauguration on September 19, 1999, the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo has become an emblematic space. A commitment to sport that places the Comunitat as a reference point in the world of motorsport.

The circuit has received many awards over the years, placing it among the very best of today’s circuits. Recognition has come in the form of awards as the best venue for major motorsport events, with three awards for the World Motorcycle Championship (IRTA BEST GRAND PRIX in 2003, 2004 and 2006), two awards for the World Superbikes Championship (2000 and 2006) and an award for the Best Truck Grand Prix in 2001.

A track within a stadium defines the idea behind the circuit, which has been designed to allow spectators to follow the races in full from the grandstands. The entire track can be seen from the 65,000 seats in the grandstands, so that the fans never miss any of the action on the track.

The challenging track layout and excellent facilities have made the circuit one of the nerve centres of motorsport.

In short, it is a facility at the service of the huge number of Valencia’s motorcycle enthusiasts, which has seen more than four and a half million visitors since its inception, a figure that confirms the decision behind the project.
