Eyes up.
Know your limits
then drive past them…
For us, every
minute on wheels is joy.

“There are two things no man will admit he cannot do well: drive and make love.”
Stirling Moss
Operating a motor vehicle and driving are two separate things. The latter requires 3 key skills first to be developed, then honed and mastered. These are:
- mental skills,
- road safety and traffic skills,
- and car/motorcycle control skills.
Our advanced driver courses will give you essential on-road knowledge and skills, above and beyond what is taught when you learn to drive. These are especially necessary when you drive a supercar. Whichever area of driving you are looking to improve, our course brings your skills up to an advanced level and helps you to get most out of driving while being safe.
We aim to help qualified drivers to develop their existing skills and learn new techniques, either in preparation for the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test, or simply to drive to a higher standard.

experience
vs. training
Does your subconscious mind takes over when you are driving? If so, it doesn’t count. This is a phenomenon where driving becomes so routine and automatic that you don’t have to consciously think about every action you take while behind the wheel.
“Some people say they have 20 years experience, when in reality, they have 1 year’s experience repeated 20 times.”
Richie Norton

“It’s hard to drive at the limit, but it’s harder to know where the limits are.”
Stirling Moss

The course focuses on the principles of “Roadcraft: The Police Driver’s Handbook” and the RoSPA “Advanced Car Test Guidelines”. By focusing on enhanced handling skills, raising situational awareness and developing positive driving behaviours it can reduce your risk of being involved in an accident or incident on the road.
Roadcraft is the definitive guide to better, safer driving. Incorporating current evidence-based best practice, it is recognised as the gold standard in police driver training. Endorsed by the emergency services and civilian driving organisations, Roadcraft is suitable for all emergency service drivers and members of the public wishing to take their driving skills to a higher level.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand the theory and benefits of advanced driving techniques including the ‘IPSGA’ system of vehicle control (Information, Position, Speed, Gear, Accelerate)
- Apply traffic laws and procedures to the task of driving
- Demonstrate responsibility for the safety of self and other road users whilst driving
- Identify how journey context and human factors can influence driver behaviour
- Demonstrate the advanced driving techniques required to undertake the RoSPA Advanced Test.

preparation for trainings
Vehicle
We strongly recommend having your vehicle inspected by a professional, certified technician within 7 days of your experience.
Please provide us with a completed Car Inspection Checklist and Waiver Form prior to arrival at the course.
Safety & Health
Driving just 4 times 45 min sessions can be exhausting so it is advised to get a good night sleep.
Please remove all loose items and any storage items from your vehicle.
Any candidate showing symptoms of a cold, allergies or flu are advised to stay home and we would be happy to rebook your experience.
Alcohol Policy
We have a zero-tolerance alcohol policy for all drivers. A general guideline but not a guarantee is 12 hours between bottle to throttle.
Attire
We recommend that candidates arrive in comfortable, weather appropriate attire as sections of the pit garage are open to the elements and you will be outside. Flexible sole shoes with good traction are recommended, as are sunglasses when the weather requires.
Arrival
Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. We also recommend having a full tank of fuel and proper tire pressure.
Confirm registration, waiver completion and proof of identification and you will receive wristband & assigned pit parking.
